Frequently Asked Questions
How does the Zero-Knowledge architecture work?
Unlike traditional security tools that ingest all your company data into their backend databases, Drive-Guard operates entirely client-side. When you log in, your browser fetches your Google Drive metadata directly from Google's APIs. We mathematically cannot see, store, or intercept your files or email lists because we don't have a backend database for them.
Can Drive-Guard see the contents of my files?
Absolutely not. Drive-Guard only requests access to file metadata (like the file name, owner, and permission sharing settings). It does not have technical permission to download or read the actual contents (text, images, data) inside your documents.
Do I need to be a Google Workspace Admin to use this?
No! Anyone can use Drive-Guard to protect their personal or shared drives. If you are an Admin, you can deploy Drive-Guard organization-wide via the Google Workspace Marketplace, but individual employees can also use it to audit their own specific folders and documents.
What happens if I cancel my subscription?
Since we don't store your data, there is no "data lock-in". If you cancel, your subscription will remain active until the end of the billing cycle. After that, you simply lose access to the automated anomaly scanning and bulk-revocation tools. Your Google Drive files remain completely untouched and secure.
